🧠 TL;DR

Tired of hunting through bookmarks to find the right Microsoft portal?

Just type cmd.ms in your address bar, followed by a short command.

Example: cmd.ms/users → straight to the Entra ID users blade.

Built by Merill Fernando. Free. No login. Just works.

The problem

If you've spent more than five minutes administering Microsoft 365, you know the pain.

There's a portal for everything.

  • Entra admin center
  • Azure portal
  • Microsoft 365 admin center
  • Teams admin center
  • Intune
  • Defender
  • Purview
  • Exchange admin center
  • SharePoint admin center

And half of them have been renamed twice in the last two years.

You either keep a folder of 40 bookmarks, or you Google "entra users blade" every time. Neither feels great.

The fix

cmd.ms is a tiny URL shortener for Microsoft admin portals.

You type it directly in your browser address bar:

cmd.ms/users

And it redirects you straight to the Entra ID users page.

That's it. No app. No extension. No login.

Examples

A few of the ones I use daily:

CommandWhere it takes you
cmd.ms/usersEntra ID users
cmd.ms/groupsEntra ID groups
cmd.ms/caConditional Access
cmd.ms/appsEnterprise Applications
cmd.ms/appregApp Registrations
cmd.ms/intuneIntune admin center
cmd.ms/teamsTeams admin center
cmd.ms/spSharePoint admin center

There are hundreds more. The full list lives on cmd.ms.

Why it works

It's just a redirect service. No data leaves your browser beyond the URL itself.

You can even self-host it if you're paranoid — the project is open source on GitHub.

That's the kind of tool that earns permanent muscle memory.

Shoutout

Massive credit to Merill Fernando for building this.

He also runs the brilliant Entra.News newsletter and maester.dev — both worth your time.

Final thought

Sometimes the best tools aren't the ones with the biggest architecture diagrams.

Sometimes it's just a URL shortener that saves you 20 clicks a day.

cmd.ms/users → done.
